Services

For maintenance emergencies call the Physical Plant directly.

Operations and Maintenance provides a broad range of services to all University campuses. Questions regarding operations or management of any utility system may be directed to the Physical Plant or Jim Henderson.

Utility Procurement, Production, Billing and Management

Procurement and contract management responsibility is provided for all utilities except telecommunications, including electric, natural gas, water and sewer. Utility production includes steam, compressed air and chilled water from the Chiller Plant. Departmental requests or questions about outages should be directed to the Physical Plant service desk 260-481-6832.

Utility Emergency Response, Maintenance, Repair & Planning

Operations and Maintenance Staff is responsible for these services. To report any emergency call 911. To report any other problems with any utility, contact dispatch at 260-481-6832 or by e-mail at fac_shared_dispatch@mail.colostate.edu.

Energy and Water Conservation

Operations and Maintenance monitors energy and water consumption along with costs. Also we encourage energy and water conservation when possible.

Utility Locate

Operations and Maintenance will provide locates of most underground utilities on an as-requested basis to coordinate any excavation, installation of signs, stakes, and tents, and other work that requires the surface of the ground to be disturbed.

Utility As-Built Documentation

The Construction and Planning Group has as-built documents of utility systems in the drawing archives for location of most utilities on campus. Requests for campus utility or other maps should be directed to 260-481-6832.

Utility Shutdowns / Unscheduled Outages

The Physical Plant is responsible for these services and will notify all who are affected by any unscheduled shutdowns or outages. To report any emergency call 911. To report any other problems with any utility, contact the Physical Plant service desk at 260-481-6832.

  • Preventive maintenance
  • Equipment installations
  • Lock and cylinder repair and modifications
  • Branch electrical circuits and power
  • Work Order Requests
  • Exterior lighting

Operations:

  • Boiler operation
  • Chiller operation
  • Temperature controls, hot and cold calls
  • Energy management system
  • Main power to buildings
  • Water treatment

Other Services Provided

  • Roof repairs
  • Pest control
  • Elevator maintenance
  • Utilities (gas, water, electric, sewer)
